The fixture allowed for adjustable lengths. The handyman did not seem to have any difficulty installing it. We were readying a house for sale and it did make the room look more modern.
Good quality fixture. I like that the seam on the fabric piece can be hidden behind one of the vertical metal pieces. Relatively easy to install. Only issue was the fixture fasteners on the metal bracket that attaches to the electrical box, interfered with bracket attachment locations on box itself. Luckily my box was attached to a 2x4 and I was able to secure the bracket to the 2x4 instead of the box itself.
This light is beautiful, and really lights up our casual dining area far better than the old, single bulb open light fixture did. The component down-rods really let us get the height-off-the-table that we wanted, and the circular shade and down-facing diffuser do a fantastic job of distributing the light evenly. The only ding we have is that during installation, the supplied screws were too long so we couldn't screw on the finishing acorn nuts completely. A quick trip to a local home improvement store for some slight shorter machine screws solved the problem though. It's a fantastic light and we love it!
Simple, elegant light! This light is bright, I love that it's dimmable. The shade adds enough elegance and shade. My only complaint is, yes the height is adjustable, but only in certain increments from the rods that are included. I feel you either have to have it a little short or a little long (at least in my space!) I'd still highly recommend this!
The light looks nice installed. We went with a lower watt bulb (40W) so we were not overpowered by too much light. The opaque shade is perfect for letting the light through.
